For our location in Turkey, we are looking for a Branch Manager – Logistics & Business Development (m/w/d)
Your responsibilities:
- You will be primarily responsible for developing our new location as part of the group’s network, building on our existing service portfolio.
- You will analyse the market and identify market opportunities, develop a sustainable growth strategy for the Turkish market (e.g., trucking, warehouse logistics, freight forwarding, bulk cargo logistics, or combined solutions), and implement it.
- You will acquire new customers and build long-term business relationships in the fields of international logistics, transportation, and bulk goods.
- You will support our customers on-site and serve as the primary point of contact for our business partners in Turkey.
- You will contribute to the establishment of the location—from site selection and developing partner networks to building your own on-site team.
- Once the location has been successfully established, you will gradually assume financial responsibility and, in the long term, take on the role of branch manager, coordinating and managing national and international transport and logistics processes in collaboration with customers, partners, and subcontractors.
- You will represent our company in the Turkish market and develop robust networks within the industry.
- You will assume responsibility for costs and results within your assigned area of responsibility.
Your profile:
- A completed vocational training program or degree in freight forwarding, transportation, logistics, or supply chain management
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the international transportation or logistics industry
- Experience in building customer relationships and strong sales and business development skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the motivation to actively help shape new markets and business areas
- Good knowledge of the Turkish logistics and transportation market as well as the relevant legal framework
- Confident demeanour when interacting with customers, partners, and authorities
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style
- Willingness to travel extensively within Turkey and internationally
- Excellent written and spoken Turkish and English; knowledge of German is desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office and common logistics/freight forwarding systems
